These courses are ideal for foreigners who live in the Tokyo area and are interested in learning more about Japanese culture through seeing and doing by themselves, as well as Japanese people who would like to learn or re-discover their own culture in English.

Location: The courses are held at a seminar room of the International House of Japan, which is located amid pastoral setting in Roppongi and has a lovely garden. For a map, go to the following website:

*Please note that workshops and hands-on sessions of washi course will be held at the instructor's paper-making studio in Mitakadai.
Class Size:
Sumie Course: Limited between seven and twelve students
Bonsai Course: Limited between five and eight students
Washi Course: Limited between eight and sixteen students for the lecture, between three and six students for the workshops, and between four and eight students for the hands-on sessions

キッサコでは、２００８年３月に、日本文化講座第一弾として墨絵コースを開講しました。そして、２００９年３月には、第二弾として盆栽コースを開講致しま した。また、２０１０年５月からは新たに和紙コースが加わります。いずれのコースも、それぞれの道のプロが英語で指導に当たります。
